Healthy work survey

The Healthy work survey is a free, confidential tool designed to assist businesses in assessing and managing the more common workplace health risks to protect and promote the long-term health and wellbeing of their workers.

The survey can help businesses to strengthen the health of their workers by providing insights into how the design of work can protect and promote worker health. Following completion of the survey, a summary of results is sent directly to the business.

Once you receive the link to the survey, share this with your workers advising them what insights you are trying to gain and how these results will help strengthen the business.

Ensure that workers know that the results are anonymous so they can be honest in their responses without fear of repercussion.

After 4 weeks have passed you will be sent a report with your business results.

Use the insights gained in the report to identify health hazards and priorities in your workplace.

Engage staff in consultation and use the report to prioritise the handling of issues identified and implement control measures.

This is an ongoing process – The workplace can be an environment of frequent and rapid change. For this reason, risk management is not a one-off exercise. It is recommended that workplaces repeat the healthy work survey on a regular basis (for example, every 12-18 months).

Benefits for your business

Completing the survey assists businesses by:

  • providing an insight into work health
  • outlining a clear, structured starting point for action
  • building a culture of consultation, transparency and care.
