Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, Office of Industrial Relations

Administers the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011.

Regulates safety of major hazard facilities.

Regulates the use, storage and handling of hazardous chemicals at workplaces. Hazardous chemicals are classified under the GHS and incorporates dangerous goods under the ADG code: Classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8 and 9, goods too dangerous to be transported and combustible liquids with some exceptions including combustible liquids having a flash point exceeding 93°C and environmentally hazardous substances of class 9.
