Update on asbestos in fire doors
The Australian Border Force (ABF) notified Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) about the detection of asbestos containing Fire Rated Board (FRB) imported into Australia.
Firemex Pty. Ltd., the supplier, informed WHSQ that fire doors purchased between 2021 and 2025 potentially contain asbestos impacted FRB.
