Urgent product recall – 45cm high velocity pedestal fan - Contempo and Adesso brands

An urgent recall has been issued from Woolworths Group Limited for a 45cm high velocity pedestal fan under the Contempo and Adesso brands, sold between 1 September and 10 December 2025.

The fans were sold at Big W and Woolworths nationally and online.

Why is this product being recalled?

Damage to the supply cord’s insulation may occur during use of the fan and expose live parts. There is a risk of serious injury or death from electric shock or electrocution if consumers touch live parts.

What should you do?

1. Stop using the fan immediately and disconnect it from power.
2. Return to any BIG W store (Contempo brand) or Woolworth Supermarkets store (Adesso brand) for a full refund
3. Contact Big W or Woolworth Supermarkets if you are unable to return the product or have sold or gifted it.
