Ariston ARIHPWH-200 and ARIHPWH-280 Heat Pump Water Heaters
Identification
Chromagen Australia Pty Ltd has issued a product recall for Ariston branded heat pump water heaters sold between 12 June 2024 – 22 September 2025.
Affected models:
- ARIHPWH-200
- ARIHPWH-280
Why is the product being recalled?
These affected water heaters have a manufacturing fault that can cause it to malfunction and cause a fire.
There is a risk of serious injury, death and/or property damage if the affected water heater cause a fire. Incidents have occurred.
What should you do?
- Immediately disconnect the water heater from the power supply by operating the switch next to the device or disconnecting it from the power outlet socket.
- Contact Chromagen to arrange a free on-site inspection and to repair the affected water heater.
- Remove any combustible materials surrounding unit.
