What happens after I submit an application?
Here are the steps we take after we receive your application and confirm payment has been receipted:
- We check each section of application form. It is important that you provide the correct information and all supporting documents to ensure there are no delays.
- If any information is missing or needs clarification, we contact you or your nominated contact person by email or phone.
- Once we verify all details, we register the application.
- We return the registration document to you (the proposed registration holder) and keep a copy kept at Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ). The document includes the plant design registration number. After you receive the confirmed design registration, you must provide the registration number to anyone involved in manufacturing, importing or supplying of the plant. Manufacturers, suppliers and importers are required to provide the registration number to anyone who purchases plant manufactured to the registered design.
- After the plant design is registered, the owner is required to register specified items of plant before it is permitted to be used at the workplace. Find out more about plant registration.
