Interstate, overseas and defence force applicants

Interstate and New Zealand applicants

If you hold an interstate or New Zealand licence you may be able to work in Queensland without having to apply.

Overseas applicants

Overseas applicants have to meet certain standards to be issued with a Queensland electrical work licence.

Serving and non-serving defence force applicants

If you undertook trade training in the Australian Regular Army, the Royal Australian Navy or the Royal Australian Air Force, and now want to work as an electrician or electrical contractor, you will need to have your skills assessed.
