Training courses for rehabilitation and return to work coordinators

It's not compulsory to complete an approved training course to be a rehabilitation and return to work coordinator. But it's one option to make sure you have the right skills and abilities to perform the role.

The key skills and knowledge you need to be a RRTWC include:

  • an understanding of workers' compensation and injury management principles
  • effective communication, negotiation and conflict resolution
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • organisational and time management, and
  • problem solving skills.

The following organisations provide approved rehabilitation and return to work coordinator training.
