Nominations for Electrical Safety Board members

The current Chair and members of the Electrical Safety Board are serving a three-year term, which concludes on 30 September 2026.

The Office of Industrial Relations (OIR) is seeking nominations for consideration by the Minister, for appointment to the next term (2026 – 2029) of the Electrical Safety Board.

Who should nominate?

Individuals with practical experience and demonstrated competence in electrical safety. You should also have strong leadership skills, extensive industry knowledge, and a proven commitment to enhancing electrical safety outcomes across Queensland.

Nomination process

Nominations are forwarded to the Minister for consideration and applicants will be advised of the outcome following the Minister’s decision.

When appointing members, the Minister considers nominees experience and competence in the management of electrical safety. The Minister also aims to achieve gender balance and must ensure equal representation of worker and employer representatives on the Board.
