The Queensland Government offers competitive salaries including salary sacrificing and generous superannuation.

At the Office of Industrial Relations, salaries for staff are set out in the Department of Education Certified Agreement 2025 (the Agreement).

The Agreement provides for annual compounded wage increases consisting of two key components:

  • Guaranteed wage increase: A guaranteed increase applied annually for each year of the Agreement (e.g., 3% effective, 1 September 2025).
  • CPI Uplift Adjustment (CUA): triggered if the Consumer Price Index (CPI) exceeds the guaranteed increase, providing for a maximum overall salary increase of up to 3.5% each year. See the Agreement for details on when the CUA is triggered.

Annual wage increases (including any CUA) also apply to relevant allowances.
