Keith McKenzie

Keith started his electrical career in 1986. After gaining his electrical fitter and mechanics licence he worked for a number of companies on domestic, commercial, hospital, petrochemical and industrial projects.

He has served on a range of board and committees in the area of apprentice training, construction, training competencies, workplace health and safety and Australian standards and has been a member of the Electrical Safety Board and Electrical Licensing Committee since 2011.

Matthew Duncan

Representing employers

Matthew has been committed to the electrical industry for almost three decades, working across a variety of sectors including water, network distribution, data centre infrastructure, commercial and domestic installations. Currently the National Technical Manager for Master Electricians Australia (MEA), he has provided expert interpretation and assistance to contractors and electricians on national and state-based electrical safety standards for more 13 years.

In addition to serving on the Queensland Electrical Licensing Committee since 2023, Matthew represents MEA on Standards Australia’s Technical Committee EL-001 (Wiring Rules). His dedication to delivering best-practice outcomes for the electrical industry stems from his career as a licensed electrical fitter mechanic and accredited trainer.

Deborah Fox

Deborah is the Workplace Health and Safety Manager at J&P Richardson Industries. Deborah has extensive experience in the electrical industry in both the private and public sector with particular emphasis in safety, training and apprentice development. Deborah holds a Graduate Certificate in Quality, Diploma's in Occupational Health & Safety and Workplace Inspections and is a licensed Electrical Fitter Mechanic Linesperson.

Alissa Green

Representing community

Alissa is an electrical industry professional with more than 20 years' experience across residential, commercial and industrial sectors. She is a qualified electrical fitter mechanic with broad experience spanning trade, estimating, procurement, project administration and business management.

Alissa currently manages the administration, scheduling, estimating and procurement functions of a family-owned electrical contracting business and brings strong practical knowledge of day-to-day electrical industry operations.

Leif Belton

Leif is an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer, Licensed Tradesperson, and Small Business Owner with a diverse career spanning technical engineering governance, industrial project delivery, and commercial business operations across Queensland. His background uniquely positions him to understand the practical realities faced by frontline electrical workers, the design-level responsibilities of professional engineers, and the regulatory challenges encountered by commercial electrical contractors.
