Become a high voltage installation accredited auditor

To apply to become an accredited auditor for high voltage installation under the Electrical Safety Act 2002, the applicant must complete the Form 46 - Application for appointment as a hazardous area and/or high voltage accredited auditor (PDF, 0.27 MB).

The Regulator will not appoint an applicant if there is no intent to perform high voltage installations audits under the Electrical Safety Act 2002 in Queensland.

The applicant must select high voltage installations on the Application form.

Key items to consider if applying to become a high voltage installation accredited auditor

An applicant must demonstrate their capability for the role as accredited auditor by submitting a capability statement. The statement must address attributes criteria as listed in the Application Form. The attributes are:

  • knowledge
  • skills and abilities
  • education / professional development
  • work experience.

Insurance requirements

Accredited auditors must be covered by appropriate types and levels of both public liability, and professional indemnity insurance for the work to be performed.

If you are appointed, you must maintain this insurance for the duration of your appointment and you must only conduct work within the scope and level of insurance held.

A copy of your certificate of currencies must be submitted with your application form.
