Decisions about payments of compensation

If the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission or Industrial Court decides that an insurer is not liable to pay compensation to a worker or claimant, then that worker or claimant who received compensation doesn't have to pay it back to the insurer (s.566, ).

This does not apply in cases where the worker is convicted of fraud.

Employers should contact their insurer to discuss the financial impact of the decision.
