Is your worksite ready for an inspection? Construction compliance campaign underway
Until the end of September 2025, Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) is conducting a statewide compliance campaign targeting the use of plant within the construction industry.
The campaign focuses on both powered and non-powered tools and equipment with inspectors assessing compliance with key safety requirements.
The matters being targeted as part of the campaign include:
- plant guarding, operational controls and warning devices
- operator competency and training
- maintenance of plant
- noise exposure and audiometric testing (from 29 July 2025)
- crystalline silica substances
- use of ladders
- electrical equipment
- personal protective equipment
- access and egress.
