Transport industry safety network meetings

Transport industry safety network meetings are a collaboration between businesses and Workplace Health and Safety Queensland to achieve better outcomes for everyone in the industry. The next meeting will be held online 9.30–11am, 4 November.

The November meeting includes a presentation by QUT’s ARC Centre on enhancing capacity in vehicle automation tailored to public roads in rural, regional and remote Australia. It will look at building on the expertise and experience in the running of Australia’s first highly automated (L4) vehicle on public and remote roads.

WHSQ’s Major Hazards Facilities Director, Shoena Messner will present on the transportation of hydrogen fuel, its associated risks and opportunities to enhance safety while decarbonising the economy by using alternative fuels.
