Asbestos Awareness Week 24-30 November
This Asbestos Awareness Week (24 - 30 November) learn how to work safely with asbestos and prevent exposure to dangerous airborne fibres in your home and workplace.
Our flagship event, the Healthy Lungs Forum, will highlight how and why workers in the asbestos removal, stonemasonry, construction and manufacturing industries must be protected from occupational lung disease risks.
Or, if you're a trade apprentice or supervising one, get along to one of our free asbestos apprentice safety sessions running across Queensland.
With presentations from WHSQ's Asbestos Unit and Safety Advocates Julie and Don Sager, you'll learn the common locations asbestos typically lurks, the dangers of exposure to harmful asbestos fibres, and how to safely handle any asbestos containing materials you come across on worksites. Places are limited and breakfast is included.
