National work health and wellbeing community of practice

Recognition of the benefits of workplace health and wellbeing programs is growing, and safety regulators have formed a national work health and wellbeing community of practice.

The group will provide a platform for sharing information and developing a nationally consistent approach to integrating work health, safety and wellbeing into workplaces. It seeks to make further inroads into improving the design of workplaces to improve the health of workers and positively impact on business outcomes.

If you are interested in the benefits of work health and wellbeing strategies, Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has resources to help reduce chronic disease risks at your workplace. Recent additions are the healthy workplaces and healthy workers surveys which over 30 workplaces and 1500 workers have completed to identify and assess the chronic disease risks.
