Safe Work and Return to Work Awards 2020 cancelled

The COVID-19 pandemic is forcing countries and workplaces around the world to radically alter how they operate during and after a crisis.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland is at the forefront of helping employers and workers adapt to the new operating paradigm, maintaining as its priority the protection of staff and stakeholders. We understand many businesses are going through a difficult period addressing the health and economic effects associated with COVID-19.

With this in mind, and to prevent any potential risk to staff or participants, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Safe Work and Return to Work Awards.

The awards shine a light on initiatives by our fellow Queenslanders who are helping us work safer and return to work quicker. The good news is all of your outstanding examples of leadership and innovation in work health and safety, electrical safety and return to work are still eligible for future awards programs.
