Psychological health in the agricultural industry

It’s tough working the land in the harsh Australian climate, often in remote and isolated conditions. At times it can feel lonely, too quiet, like no one really understands what you’re going through.

Money hardships, lack of employment opportunities, natural disasters like fire, flood, and drought. One thing’s for sure, this industry is tough, and it needs a tough mentality to be in it, and an even tougher one to reach out and ask for help when you need it.

You don’t have to carry the burden alone. Know your obligations, know your rights, know your allies, and your support agencies and trusted advisors.
