Work safely with asbestos in switchboards during flood clean up

If you're working on switchboard panels and meter boards during flood clean-up, remember they may contain asbestos if they were constructed or imported before 2004.

Before you work on them you need to:

• be aware of the risks
• complete a risk assessment
• know how to use safe work procedures.
