Plant design registration portal – now available
Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) recently launched the Plant design registration portal which captures all relevant business, technical and administrative information.
The portal is a digital version of the manual plant design registration process.
The digital submission process mirrors the former PDF form, so the information required is similar.
The online submission method means the forms are processed more efficiently, and businesses will receive registration outcomes without delays. The portal connects with an upgraded internal database where a change of data structure has introduced a format change in design registration numbers.
The new format now includes a two-letter code to identify the plant type and a three-digit suffix that will help identify whether the registration relates to the original design or a subsequent modification.
No changes have been applied to existing design registration numbers; a change will only take effect when a modification application is submitted for that existing registration.
