Are you interested in joining the Electrical Equipment Committee?

Are you passionate about improving the safety of electrical equipment in Queensland?

We are seeking nominations for membership on the Electrical Equipment Committee – an independent committee established under the Electrical Safety Act 2002 to provide advice and recommendations on electrical equipment to Queensland’s Electrical Safety Board.

Nominations for membership are now open from 28 May for a new, three-year term of the Electrical Equipment Committee from 17 November 2025.

We are looking for people who hold a range of skills and experience including those with practical skills and experience in relation to electrical equipment. These skills are highly desirable due to some technical matters the Committee advises on.

We strongly encourage nominations from suitably qualified women and candidates from diverse communities, including Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
