Retail and wholesale ISSC communique: June 2025

The Retail and Wholesale Industry Sector Standing Committee (Committee) scheduled meeting for Thursday, 12 June 2025 did not reach a quorum.

The members present discussed psychosocial issues following a presentation by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland staff on the structure and work of OIR’s Psychosocial targeting teams, emerging trends and information relating to the Retail and Wholesale industry sector.

Members supported the work being undertaken by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland to investigate ways to improve HSR training including ways to make HSR training more relevant to an HSR’s workplace with practical implementation. Members undertook to identify sector relevant case studies that could be developed and provided for HSR training.

Members agreed to hold over remaining topics for the next meeting.

The next meeting of the Committee will be held on Thursday, 28 August 2025.
