Health and Community Services ISSC communique: March 2026

The Health and Community Services Industry Sector Standing Committee (the Committee) meeting scheduled for Thursday 19 March 2026, did not reach a quorum.

Members agreed to hold a broad discussion on agenda items, noting no decisions or endorsements could be made at an inquorate meeting. Members discussed the provision of in-home care and available resources, and publicly available guides related to this work. Members considered the Work Health and Safety Queensland priority plan, as it relates to the health and community services industry sector.

Members discussed, the updates to the Safe Work Australia model incident notifications and the changes to this framework at the national level; the transition arrangements for the Mentally Healthy Workplace program, and the release of the Queensland Productivity Commission report: Opportunities to improve productivity of the construction industry – Final Report and the Queensland Government’s response.

The next meeting of the Committee will be held on Thursday 4 June 2026.
