Farm safety calendar competition 2027 – enter now!
Queensland’s farm safety calendar art competition gives primary school students from prep – grade six the opportunity to consider how safety messages apply to themselves and their community, how to advocate for and positively influence health and wellbeing - and communicate this through beautiful artwork!
For our students who live on a rural property or regularly visit relatives, friends or holiday destinations on farms and rural properties, the competition encourages awareness of staying safe around farm machinery and livestock.
There are also plenty of everyday messages relevant to our broader community, including reminders to wash hands after touching animals, never playing in floodwaters, staying sun safe outdoors, eating healthy meals and getting plenty of sleep.
We encourage all students to get involved in this fantastic competition – we know the lessons they learn at school often spark conversations at home, encouraging parents, carers and grandparents to reflect on their own behaviours and helping important safety messages reach our families and communities across Queensland.
The competition also provides opportunities to support learning within the Australian curriculum, particular the health and physical education learning area, with winning entrants receiving a $250 gift card and $500 for their school.
The twelve winning drawings will also be showcased in 40,000 copies of the free 2027 Farm safety calendar.
