Workers Memorial Day
Monday 28 April marks World Day for Safety and Health at Work and Workers’ Memorial Day – a global day of reflection and action.
It’s a time to honour the lives lost as a result of workplace tragedies, and those seriously injured or made ill due to their work. Behind every statistic is a person — a family, a community, a future forever changed. One life lost at work is one too many.
We invite you to watch a recording of the Workers’ Memorial Day service via the Workplace Health and Queensland Facebook page.
This annual event is a joint initiative of the Consultative Committee for Work-Related Fatalities and Serious Incidents and the Office of Industrial Relations. Together, we reflect on the importance of workplace safety and the ongoing need to protect workers across Queensland.
