Rural plant code of practice videos
The revised rural plant code of practice came into effect on 23 September 2024. The code was updated with the support and contribution of the agriculture sector, including farmers, employers, peak bodies and health and safety experts.
To help break down the changes and updates within the code, a roundtable discussion was filmed in August this year.
The discussion was facilitated by Chris Bombolas and featured a panel including Ruth Thompson from AgForce, Jasmin Smith from Queensland Farmers’ Federation, William Lewis from Injury Prevention and Management, and Mark Lalor from WHS Regional Services.
A suite of short-form educational materials will also be developed to break down key topics such as technology, in-field traffic management, training and vehicle safety, which will be available later this year.
