Is your farm ready for an inspection?

From 1 October to 31 December 2025, the Queensland Government is delivering a statewide compliance campaign targeting the safe use of moving plant in the agriculture industry.

The campaign focuses on moving plant, with inspectors assessing compliance for tractors, quad bikes, side-by-side vehicles and worker interaction.

The campaign targets:

  • tractors, quad bikes and side-by-side vehicles
  • other mobile plant and vehicles such as telehandlers, trucks and utility vehicles (utes)
  • operator competency and training
  • safe use and maintenance of machinery and attachments
  • in-field traffic management.

Tips to help you prepare

Don’t wait for an incident—review your workplace processes now to make sure they are effective and compliant.

Farms that perform well in audits and inspections regularly review their control measures and take a proactive approach to risk management.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) inspectors can work with you to meet any biosecurity requirements related to accessing your property.

This is a busy time for many with spring and summer harvests underway and the wet season fast approaching. We are committed to working with you to minimise any disruption to your operations.
