New video series brings the Rural Plant Code of Practice to life 

The Unpacking the Rural Plant Code of Practice video series is live, offering practical guidance on how to implement the Rural Plant Code of Practice and improve safety outcomes across Queensland’s agricultural sector.

Developed in response to feedback from the farming community, the series features short, informative videos alongside a roundtable discussion with key industry leaders and Workplace Health and Safety Queensland representatives.

Filmed with local farmers in the Lockyer Valley, the videos focus on priority topics identified during consultations on the Code of Practice, including:

• safe use of technology
• training and skills development
• vehicle safety on farms
• in-field traffic management.

This series provides an accessible, on-the-ground look at best practices for rural plant safety, helping farmers and workers implement practical measures to keep Queensland’s agricultural workplaces safe.
