Electrical Safety Fortnight 2026 reaches thousands of industry professionals across the state
Electrical Safety Fortnight (ESFN) 2026, held from 1 to 15 September, brought together industry representatives, workers, apprentices, students and community members from across Queensland to focus on improving electrical safety awareness and practices.
The annual campaign delivered a strong program of education, engagement and professional development activities, reinforcing the importance of electrical safety both in the workplace and at home.
A highlight of this year's fortnight was the series of five major industry events, including the:
- Electrical Apprentice Safety Forum
- Electrical Safety Summit
- Electrical Industry Safety Toolbox Webinar
- Electrical Licensing Committee Worker and Contractor Forum, and
- Electrical Solar and Battery Installer Safety Webinar.
Collectively, the events attracted more than 2,000 participants, providing valuable opportunities to share knowledge, discuss emerging issues and strengthen safety outcomes across the electrical industry.
For those unable to attend, recordings of all major events are now available.
Industry members are encouraged to access the recordings and share them with employees, colleagues and networks to help extend the reach of important electrical safety messages.
In addition to the major events, the Electrical Safety Office delivered 19 community and industry engagement activities throughout Brisbane, the Gold Coast, South West Queensland, Central Queensland and North Queensland.
These engagements directly reached more than 1,300 Queenslanders and included visits to schools and childcare centres, sessions with apprentices and training providers, wholesaler engagements and industry forums.
Through these activities, the Electrical Safety Office continued to promote practical safety information and encourage safer behaviours around electrical equipment, installations and work practices.
The success of Electrical Safety Fortnight 2026 was made possible through the participation and support of industry stakeholders, presenters, employers, educators and community members.
