Changes to how licencing payments can be made - American Express (AMEX) card payments no longer accepted

From Thursday 31 July 2025, we are no longer able to accept payments to the Electrical Safety Office (ESO) using American Express (AMEX) cards.

Following a recent review of the payment systems, the Queensland Government will accept Mastercard, Visa or direct debit cards.

These payment methods will be accepted for:

• licencing renewal
• new licence applications
• infringement notice payments
• cathodic protection registration payments
• renewal of accredited auditors.

Before making any required payments, please review your available payment options.
