Electrical Licensing Committee vacancy
Do you have practical skills and experience in electrical safety and training? Are you passionate about electrical licensing and training in Queensland?
We are seeking nominations to fill a community representative vacancy for the current team up until 30 September 2026. The Electrical Licensing Committee is an independent committee established under the Electrical Safety Act 2002 to provide advice and recommendations on electrical licensing and training to Queensland’s Electrical Safety Board.
A key role of the Committee is taking necessary disciplinary action against holders of electrical licences and reviewing decisions of Queensland’s electrical safety regulator about electrical licences.
The Committee is comprised of worker, employer, and community representatives, as well as a technical expert.
Nominations are welcomed from people who bring a range of skills and experience, and we strongly encourage nominations from suitably qualified women and candidates from diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Holding practical skills and experience in electrical safety and training is highly desirable for this position due to the technical matters the Committee advises on.
To request a nomination pack, please email esappointments@oir.qld.gov.au. Nominations close on Tuesday 13 May 2025.
