OneFile frequently asked questions
Claims
You will receive an automated email notification if you have switched on email notifications from OneFile. You can also see it in the coloured panels in the dashboard.
You may not have any claims assigned to you right now. Claims that have been assigned to you will appear on your dashboard.
Click on the Claims sidebar menu and search by the worker's name, claim number, or company name.
The customer advisor assigned to that claim will action the request.
You can view another claim file by selecting the lawyer in the drop down menu on each page in OneFile. You don't have to go back to the home page to do this.
Click on Edit in the top right and enter your notes for each section. Click Save when you have finished. We recommend saving as you go so you don't lose your notes if your server or internet connection stops mid-way through working.
Tasks and alerts
No. All tasks created in OneFile will be set for your action.
Yes, you can send a iCal event from OneFile to your email and save the alert to your own calendar. You can forward this iCal event to your colleague or admin staff to include in their calendars.
When you're in the injured worker's file, you can only see calendar tasks relating to that injured worker. To see all tasks for all your claims you will need to click on Show my calendar in the home dashboard or under the bell alert in the top right.
Go to My Profile in the top right, under Notifications > Tasks, click on the drop down menu and select 'Do not send me a notification' and click Save.
You will receive an bell alert notification in the top right of the screen.
OneFile
Yes. Go to the Add File column in OneFile to move the file to your new folder.
No. All changes in the edit screen will be separate from WorkCover's files.
Yes. Only if you have administrator account access. Note that if you rename any folders in OneFile it will affect all the folders in your firm.You can request administrator access through your Principal.
Yes. You will need to click on the open document icon in the preview column. The document will open in a new browser window and then right click to print. Bulk printing is not yet available for this release.
Invoices
If you requested an invoice extract for a particular provider, it may be in that provider’s inbox to download it. Make sure that you select the provider from the drop down menu in the inbox.

Admin
No. Search your OneFile to bring back OneFile results and search on communications for communications results.
Yes. The new OneFile search recognises characters and will show results where the word is contained in the document. However, some lengthy documents or hand written notes cannot be scanned for characters and therefore search will only look at the other metadata fields in these cases, such as date, description, title or notes entered.
You will need to be an administrator. Contact your Principal if you need to get admin access.
Go to My Profile in the top right corner.
