Support and advisory services for employers, workers and people making a claim
Access free, confidential, independent and expert support and advice while navigating a workers’ compensation claim. There are specific support services available for employers and workers.
These services are available:
- at any point in the claim journey (before, during, after)
- to all workers/employers in Queensland, regardless of their location.
Note: These services are limited to providing support and advice. They do not include worker/employer advocacy, legal advice or claims management.
Support for workers
Workers’ Psychological Support Service (WPSS)
This service is available to all Queensland workers who have been impacted by a work-related psychological injury as well as their families and others affected by a serious work-related injury or fatality.
An experienced social worker will provide support and guidance, including connecting clients with community services appropriate to their needs.

Workers’ Compensation Information and Advisory Service for Workers (WCIAS for Workers)
This service supports workers and people making a claim for workers’ compensation to understand and navigate Queensland’s workers’ compensation system.
It can assist with information and advice about making claims, timelines for claims, understanding a decision made on a claim, and lodging applications for review of rejected claims.

Support for employers
Workers’ Compensation Information and Advisory Service for Employers (WCIAS for Employers)
This service helps all Queensland employers to understand and navigate a workers’ compensation claim.
It provides information about the claim process, applicable timeframes, reviews and appeals and rehabilitation and return to work.
