WorkCover Queensland recognises the importance of complaints management as part of quality customer experience. We are accountable for our actions and decisions. Customers and stakeholders have the right to complain.

We manage complaints in accordance with our complaints policy.

WorkCover Queensland (‘WorkCover’) is collecting your personal information for the purposes of identifying and dealing with your complaint in accordance with our Complaints Policy.

You may choose to interact with us anonymously or with a pseudonym. However, if we do not receive sufficient information from you, we may not be able to respond to your complaint.

Your personal information will be disclosed to the relevant officer or agent to investigate and respond to your complaint.

WorkCover uses a secure complaints management system to record and manage complaints. From time to time, authorised support personnel from the system provider, including personnel located outside Australia, may access the system to provide technical support and maintenance. Any such access is limited and subject to strict security, confidentiality, and privacy obligations.

Every effort is made to ensure your complaint is only provided to the correct business area, but in some circumstances the receiving area may need to send your complaint to another business area at WorkCover.

We may also collect your personal information from others to appropriately respond and address the concerns raised in your complaint and in accordance with previously agreed Privacy Notice and Statements.

Your personal information may be provided to the person you are complaining about to ensure your complaint is appropriately dealt with.

Limited personal information may be used for related research, policy or planning functions. Unless authorised or required by law, your personal information will not otherwise be disclosed to any other third party without your consent.
