When issuing the Certificate of Testing and Safety for electrical equipment, what needs to be included on the certificate?

The name and address of the person who developed the safe system of work for the equipment
A statement that the electrical equipment to the extent it is affected by the electrical work is electrically safe
Details of any portable electrical equipment that has a serious defect
A statement that you have ensured the safety switch installed complies with AS/NZS 3760 when tested

How long are you required to keep copies of Certificates of Testing and Safety for electrical equipment work?

When installing an electrical installation, what is one of the things you must do?

(Refer to Section 36 of the ES Act)

Record the processes that were followed and keep this information available for the client
Ensure the way you install the installation is electrically safe
Ensure the customer's protection equipment and the electricity entity's protection system do not conflict
Provide access to the entity, or persons authorised by it to access the installed equipment

After performing electrical work on an electrical installation, you must ensure that:

The controls in place will prevent hazardous outcomes
It has been tested to ensure it is electrically safe (to the extent it is affected by the electrical work)
A construction safety plan that is held by the principal contractor is ready for inspection
It has been inspected as recommended by the manufacturer of the installed equipment

When issuing a Certificate of Testing and Compliance for an electrical installation, what needs to be included on the certificate?

Details of any previous defects relating to the installation
