Supply chain and subcontractor safety (masterclass)
This Safety Leadership at Work masterclass will explore the challenges of managing safety across a single organisation or supply chain. It will look at the challenges when managing safety across organisational boundaries and how existing safety concepts such as ‘safety management systems’ and ‘safety culture’ apply when more than one organisation is involved.
Attendees can expect to cover:
- the concept of a ‘system of systems’ and how it is useful for thinking about supply chain and subcontractor safety
- the challenges particular to safety for ‘precarious’ workers such as labour hire and contract employees
- the ethical and practical challenges for a customer of safety related services, including outsourcing of safety assessments and reports.
Who should attend?
This masterclass is aimed at safety managers or advisors, and senior operations or staff managers with an interest in safety improvement. Our masterclasses welcome attendance from all industries. No previous safety study is required or assumed.
