WorkCover Queensland works with practice management software vendors to develop functionality within their products that allow medical and allied health practitioners to bill WorkCover directly through their software.

Electronic invoicing creates greater processing efficiencies, helping medical practices in Queensland, who currently submit invoices to us manually, receive their payments sooner.

Background

• WorkCover provides insurance cover to support workers who have been injured at work, to help them recover and assist in a quick and safe return to work.
• Registered medical and allied health providers submit invoices for payment by WorkCover for products and services they have provided to the injured workers.
• Over the life of a claim, a number of invoices will be presented to WorkCover from one or more medical and allied health providers.
• WorkCover receives and processes approximately one million claim-related invoices annually through its internal invoicing system.
