Safe Work Month
Each year around 17 Queenslanders die as a result of a devastating workplace incident, and over 5,000 suffer a permanent injury. Safe Work Month is an opportunity to come together and build healthy, safe and productive working environments within your workplace.
Queenslanders work hard and it’s important we all go home at the end of the day, safe. Businesses big and small are encouraged to take part in hosting a Safe Work Month event, raising awareness about the importance and impact of safe work.
Enter our #SWM19 competition* and show your support by getting together with colleagues and hosting your own safety focused event. All you need to do is register your event and share photos from your event on social media with the hashtag #SWM19. You will go in the draw to win one of 40 prize packs made up of:
- A Safe Work Month back pack
- A Safe Work Month water bottle
- A Safe Work Month cooling towel
- A Safe Work Month hat and
- A Safe Work Month football signed by QLD Safety Ambassador Shane Webcke.
