JobKeeper Payment Scheme

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The JobKeeper Payment Scheme is a Commonwealth Government payment to eligible employers who must then pass on the payment to the eligible employee. Specific details regarding the nature and eligibility for the JobKeeper Payment Scheme can be found at the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website.

The JobKeeper payment rates are as follows:

  • From 30 March 2020 to 27 September 2020, the payment rate is $1,500 per fortnight for eligible employees.
  • From 28 September 2020 to 3 January 2021, the payment rate is $1,200 per fortnight for eligible employees who work more than 20 hours per week on average; and $750 per fortnight for eligible employees who work less than 20 hours per week on average.
  • From 4 January 2021 to 28 March 2021, the payment rate is $1,000 per fortnight for all eligible employees who more than 20 hours per week on average; and $650 per fortnight for eligible employees who less than 20 hours per week on average.
