WorkCover Queensland wins two national PIEF awards
WorkCover Queensland has been recognised for outstanding performance in managing serious injuries and for digital innovation in injury management at the national 2018 Personal Injury and Disability Management Awards.
Customer Advisor, Sandra Hennessy won the Excellence in Injury & Disability Management (Serious Injury/Significant Disability) category. Sandra has successfully facilitated return to work programs for several workers who have suffered highly complex traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries at work.
WorkCover’s Digital Services and Delivery team won the Innovation in Injury & Disability Management category for their successful completion of a four-year redesign of the organisation’s digital services for employers, injured workers, medical and allied health providers and WorkCover’s legal services panel.
Customer Manager, Teegan Jordan, was also nominated as a Finalist in the Emerging Leader category in recognition of her outstanding achievements managing a portfolio of claims from the Queensland retail and wholesale sectors.
WorkCover Queensland congratulates all our PIEF Award winners and finalists for their outstanding contributions and genuine commitment to making a positive difference to the lives of customers and their families during their injury rehabilitation and recovery.
The 2018 Excellence in Personal Injury and Disability Management Awards, hosted by the Personal Injury and Education Foundation (PIEF) were announced at a gala ceremony at the Adelaide Town Hall on Tuesday 16 October 2018.
