An overview of WorkCover Queensland's Recovery Blueprint project will be shared at the National Workers' Compensation Summit on 18 February.
Recovery Blueprint is a partnership with Monash University and Dr Ross Iles, Senior Research Fellow Human Services, will take to the stage to highlight our partnership, research and testing.
The Recovery Blueprint project is currently being piloted at WorkCover. The project identifies injured workers who may be at risk of delayed return to work after injury so we can offer them the right rehabilitation support. During the pilot, we are gathering relevant information from workers to help us understand their injury, and some of the potential barriers which may impact return to work. Workers responses are helping us work with them to plan their rehabilitation, recovery and return to work.
Dr Iles will share how his team's research in the workers' compensation industry developed learnings and insights which were drawn upon and developed further in the Recovery Blueprint project.
In another session, WorkCover Queensland Executive Professional Services Matt Bannan will feature in a panel discussion on Steps towards a physical and psychological healthy workplace - state and territory initiatives.
The 20th Annual National Workers' Compensation Summit is in Melbourne on 18 and 19 February.
