The Electrical Safety Office offers a variety of free electrical safety workshops and information sessions throughout Queensland.
All electrical work performed by a licensed electrical contractor must be performed or supervised by a qualified technical person (QTP) who is endorsed on the licence.
From 1 January 2017 every Queensland residence must have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms. There is a 10 year phased rollout.

Lend Lease reaps benefit of helping motivated injured workers recover at work
Property and infrastructure group, Lend Lease is giving injured workers a new lease on life and rehabilitating them back to work sooner through WorkCover Queensland's Recover at Work host employment program.
