Electrical contractors and workers
This self-audit is designed to help you better understand and meet your key electrical safety obligations.
The Electrical Safety Office offers a variety of free electrical safety workshops and information sessions throughout Queensland.
All electrical work performed by a licensed electrical contractor must be performed or supervised by a qualified technical person (QTP) who is endorsed on the licence.
From 1 January 2017 every Queensland residence must have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms. There is a 10 year phased rollout.
