Get involved in Electricity Safety Week 2017

It’s Electricity Safety Week so get involved and make electrical safety a priority today. With events tailored for electrical workers and contractors, it’s a great opportunity to improve safety leadership skills and network with others in your industry.

During the week 4 to 8 September we have statewide forums focused on young worker safety, safety leadership and culture and the new Wiring Rules.

The Young worker electrical safety forums are for apprentices and their supervisors. They focus on the unique risk factors for young workers and discuss how safety should be managed through education, work design and workplace culture. Find a forum near you.

We are partnering with Lawrence and Hanson Electrical Wholesalers and CNW Electrical Wholesale to host Wiring Rules breakfasts for electricians throughout Queensland. If you’re keen to find out what the changes in the new Wiring Rules will be, come along to ask our inspectors about the new standard and transitional arrangements. The breakfasts are free with no registration required. Find an event near you.

There's nothing like getting back for getting better

Workers who get back to safe work as soon as possible recover more quickly than those who wait until they are fully recovered.
