Overview of our data

This project was primarily focused on improving the experience of people involved in the common law claim process. We applied the approaches and philosophies of people-centred design. Fundamental to this is the need to understand the domain, especially the people, by completing detailed research.

Throughout this project, we collected information from people who had some experience with the existing process. This information came from sources such as interviews and feedback that had been provided to WorkCover. We also used different design methods such as the creation of personas and storyboards to provide us with detailed information about this experience.

We then used a number of methods to delve into this information to help us develop a better understanding of that information. For example: we selected statements that people included in their storyboards and identified the values (what's important to people) that underpin that statement. These "insights" were then mapped to identify themes.

Both insights and themes present opportunities for change and are used to guide any decisions that may be made in the future.

These pages present some of the information that we have obtained and the results of our analysis of that information:
