Interim consultative committee for work-related fatalities and serious incidents

Have you been affected by a workplace fatality, illness or serious injury?

The Interim consultative committee for work related fatalities and serious incidents (the Committee) was established to ensure there is an ongoing consultative forum for injured workers and families affected by a workplace death.

The Committee aims to:

  • provide a centralised, public voice regarding the support services required to assist injured workers, their families, and families affected by a workplace death
  • achieve a consistent response and approach by all government agencies involved in investigating fatal and serious workplace incidents.

The Committee was the result of Queensland Government election commitment that injured workers and families affected by a workplace death will be included on relevant consultative forums. The interim committee provides this forum while the Government finalises its commitment.
