Luisa Wilson

Luisa Wilson lost her partner and father to her children, Ashley Morris at Eagle Farm Race Course on 6 October 2016.

Ashley and his work colleague Humberto Leiti we’re crushed to death by two 14 tonne concrete panels whilst working on the race courses new multi-million-dollar revamp.

Luisa and Ashley we’re raising four children together, Makayla, Mason, Blake and Ashleigh.

Ashley’s passion and future in the construction industry was forecast to be incredibly rewarding as he and some work colleagues were going to start their own business. This was taken from them on this horrific day.

Ashley’s tragic death has had a terrible impact on his partner, children, family, friends and workmates. They have all suffered from his loss.

Luisa joined the Consultative committee for work-related fatalities and serious incidents to ensure others affected by workplace tragedies are fully supported and to help implement critical reforms to save lives and keep workers safe.
