Technology etiquette

While technology has become so common place in our lives now, we need to remember there is a time and place for everything. Our technology etiquette helps ensure everyone is on the same page (or should that be screen?) when it comes to knowing what is and isn't ok.

Mobile phones

If your phone's a-buzzing and you need to take an important call, pop to the breakout area on your floor so you don't interrupt anyone else around you. All other times, your phone can be kept in your bag or desk draw (on silent please).

Social media

It's common sense, but don't chat about confidential work stuff on social media channels. Things like, 'my boss is silly' or 'this person isn't really injured' simply aren't ok. But of course, if you want to say how amazing your teammates are and how good the fresh fruit is on Mondays… well, go right ahead.

Email

You know when colleagues send you those awesome company-wide emails asking if anyone has seen their missing mug and you're really happy about another email in your inbox? No, us either.

Respect your colleagues' email addresses by only sending relevant content related to work issues and don't share emails that are spammy or make fun of people. We also don't send group chat emails just for the sake of it.

We're big on cyber security so keep an eye out for phishing emails trying to catch you out! Solutions and Technology can help you out if you're feeling a bit uneasy about a dodgy-looking email.

The best thing is that you don't have to take your work home with you. That's why we don't BYO our own devices and the CPIS claims management system locks off at 6pm. Get some of that good work life balance going!

Work photos

You'll need to add a beautiful mug shot of yours to our internal systems so we can easily identify you throughout the office. Sorry, that pub shot with your mates on the weekend won't cut it this time!
