Building access
Some important FYIs...
Everyone that works with us at WorkCover Queensland is located in the same building (that's 280 Adelaide St, Brisbane, in case you didn't remember it).
We have levels 6 – 15 and level 18 in our building, with reception located on level 6. You'll get a tour of all levels in your first week so don't worry - you can't get lost!
You'll receive a security card on your first day which you will need to keep on you at all times when at work. The security card allows you to get through the glass doors on each level, and if you happen to be here before 7am, you'll need your card to get access to the building and your floor via the lifts. If you leave the building after 6pm, remember to press the green button at the door to exit – likewise if you want to come back into the building after 6pm, you'll need your security card to get access.
There's centrally controlled lifts, but you'll need to hit the button before getting in the lift or you'll be riding the lifts all day (umm no, we don't know from experience…).
