Dr Linda Colley is the Discipline Leader for HRM and Industrial Relations teaching and research at CQUniversity. She has extensive practical experience from her career in HRM and industrial relations in the Queensland public service.
Linda is an active researcher in international networks, and is the Vice President Australia/New Zealand for the International Research Society for Public Management (IRSPM). She is also a representative on the Queensland Government Gender Pay Equity Review Steering Committee.

Royce is President of the CFMEU QLD/NT branch where he specialises in health and safety. He has over 37 years’ experience in the mining and construction industry where he worked as a trade qualified boilermaker, Project Health and Safety Officer, Health and Safety Representative, rigger, dogman, scaffolder and labourer.
Royce’s extensive technical experience within the construction industry has seen him chair numerous working parties, reviewing national legislation, regulations and Codes of Practice.
Assistant Secretary, Queensland Nurses and Midwives’ Union
Sandra has more than 35 years’ experience as a frontline health worker. She has worked as a nurse, midwife and manager delivering services in rural, remote and metropolitan centres.The focus of her role as QNMU Assistant Secretary is creating safe work environments, giving voice and respect to workers through genuine engagement and promoting the wellbeing of nurses and midwives.
Sandra is also an Executive member of Queensland Council of Unions.
Deputy General Secretary, Queensland Teachers' Union
Kate has been Queensland Teachers’ Union (QTU) Deputy General Secretary since 2010 and is QTU’s lead enterprise bargaining negotiator and a strong professional voice for members, having worked on the performance review models, joint statements and basic guides.
Kate has previously been a board member of Teachers’ Union Health and the Southbank Institute of TAFE. Kate is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary).

Mick is the Managing Director of G&S Engineering Services based in Mackay. He has extensive experience in the manufacturing and construction industry in Australia and internationally. As a founding shareholder at G&S Engineering Services, Mick has held positions as Site Engineer, General Manager – Maintenance and Mining Services and CEO from 2009. In 2012 when G&S Engineering Services became a public company as part of the Calibre Group Mick became the Managing Director. Mick has been a member of the WHS Board since 2014.
Manager Workplace Health Safety and Environmental Policy, Master Builders Queensland
Melanie Roberts has over 14 years’ experience in the construction industry both in commercial and residential sectors, and over 10 years’ experience in workplace health and safety policy, practice and strategy, both at the national and state level. Melanie has held executive and general management positions with major employer associations in the construction industry and has tertiary qualifications in workplace health and safety and industrial relations.
Her extensive technical experience comes from involvement in numerous national and state committees, including the National Harmonisation Safe Work Australia Temporary Advisory Groups, the Queensland Construction Industry Sector Standing Committee, various expert reference groups, national and state working parties and code of practice steering committees. Melanie is currently the Chair of the Safety in Leadership Expert Reference Group and is passionate about improving businesses knowledge in this area of safety.
Senior Advisor, Safety & Workers' Compensation Services, AiGroup
Annette holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Health and Safety, and has worked in senior WHS roles for almost 25 years. Annette has worked in and consulted to a range of industries including mineral processing, heavy manufacturing, oil and gas, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), government bodies, and the banking and finance sector. Annette is a member of the Safety Leadership at Work Expert Reference Group and an observer on the Manufacturing Industry Sector Standing Committee.
Chief Executive Officer, Australian Country Choice
David is the Managing Director of Australian Country Choice Pty Ltd and has held this position since 2002. Over the last 30 years David had held leadership roles in rural property management and the meat retail, processing and exporting industry. David is the Chair of the Work Health and Safety Manufacturing Industry Sector Standing Committee, Chairman of Australian Cattle and Beef Holdings, Chairman of the Red Meat and Livestock Australia-Indonesia marketing taskforce and Board appointee to the Cattle Council of Australia market access committee. David has been a member of the WHS Board since 2014.
Chair, Safety Institute of Australia
Patrick has over 17 years Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) experience working at senior levels across the retail, construction, mining and most recently, oil and gas industries. Patrick is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Safety Institute of Australia (SIA) having served on the Board since 2012 and is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute.
Patrick also serves as a Director and SIA representative on the Board of International Network of Safety and Health Practitioner Organisations. He is the Independent Chair of the Primary Industries Health and Safety Partnership under the Rural Industries Research Development Corporation. Patrick is also a member of the Queensland Manufacturing Industry Sector Standing Committee. He was formerly a Director of the Child Accident Prevention Foundation of Australia and a Director of Kidsafe Qld.
Patrick is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is currently completing his PhD in OHS at the University of Queensland.

Jennifer Robertson is an experienced non-executive director, chair, corporate governance consultant and lawyer.
In her governance consulting work through the firm Board Matters, Jennifer specialises in tailored governance services for boards and their directors including board evaluations, structural reviews and trouble-shooting advice. Board Matters clients include listed companies, Government Owned Corporations, not-for-profit entities and SMEs.
Jennifer currently maintains a number of company director roles including Chair of the Defence Reserves Support Council Queensland, Deputy Chair of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission and she is the first non-pilot director on the board of Brisbane Marine Pilots in its 28 year history.
